Privacy
What leaves your browser—and when.
PPS Voice does not send an email or contact a public official for you. The tool keeps its data flows narrow and names each outside service involved.
Address lookup
When you choose “Find my legislators,” your street, city, and ZIP are sent in an HTTPS request body to this site's Vercel function. The function then sends the address to the US Census geocoder as an encoded query parameter, which means it may appear in Census-side request logs. PPS Voice uses the returned coordinates in your browser to match Oregon legislative district boundaries. The address is not placed in your browser's address bar or this site's inbound request URL, written by PPS Voice to application logs, or sent to Vercel Analytics.
You can skip lookup and choose your House and Senate districts manually.
AI drafting
When you choose “Help me word this,” your browser first uses Cloudflare Turnstile to obtain a one-time abuse-prevention token. The token is verified by this site's Vercel function before your selected role, school connection, priorities, directed asks, tone, and existing personal draft text are sent to the Anthropic API. The dedicated name, email, and address fields are excluded. Skip the AI button to avoid both services and keep your message text in your browser.
Read Cloudflare's Turnstile Privacy Addendum.
Anthropic says commercial API inputs and outputs are not used for model training by default.
Email handoff
When you open or copy the finished message, its recipients, subject, body, and any name, email, or address you added are handed to your chosen email app or service. You review and send it there under that provider's privacy terms.
Anonymous analytics and performance
PPS Voice uses Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights. Vercel receives anonymous pageviews, aggregate browser and performance information, and a small set of fixed interaction categories such as whether lookup or drafting succeeded. These analytics do not receive your message, address, name, email, or matched districts, and PPS Voice does not enable analytics cookies.
Scope
